During the winter months we offer professionally guided wolf hunts in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies in southwestern Alberta, Canada next to the mighty North Saskatchewan River. Hunting wolf is not an easy task; wolves are a very smart and shy predator that likes to spend their time in the shadows of the timber. Our Timber Wolves can vary in colour from traditional grey/silver to partial black and full black.
In the winter the wolves group together in their hunting packs and tend to stake out game trails and roam in packs in searching for easy food sources. Staking out well-used game trails is a great way to hunt these elusive timber wolves. We hunt timber wolves from heated ground blinds over bait and call the wolves in to shooting range, and depending on your placement that could be anywhere between 50 – 300 meters. We have great success with this method of wolf hunting and have harvested Alberta record wolves.
Our wolf hunting lodge is a rustic wood stove heated cabin in the middle of our hunting area. You will sleep on bunk beds where you will be given plenty of personal space. You will enjoy delicious, hearty meals and a friendly atmosphere. Wolf hunting is real Alberta wilderness adventure and one you are sure to enjoy.
