Hunting mule deer in the Peace River Valley in Alberta, Canada has become a destination of choice for mule deer hunting. The Peace and Smoky River Valleys and their tributaries as well as the surrounding boreal forest and agricultural country provide tremendous habitat for trophy mule deer.
The area we hunt is large, which affords us different opportunities and options during your mule deer hunt.
The Peace River country is mostly agricultural, which provides an excellent food source. We hunt mule deer in open fields and watering holes and alfalfa fields and the bordering timberline gives the deer plenty of cover. The Peace River country can, and has, produced some tremendous trophy deer. The mule deer in our hunting area average 170 plus and with a harvest rate of 90%, you will have an excellent chance at bringing home a real trophy. Our deer hunts are six full hunting days in length. We generally hunt the second and third weeks of November when the mule deer are in the heat of the rut.
Hunts are conducted from our 4,700 square foot log lodge which has all the modern conveniences of home. Most of our guides are local and have been with us for several years, so they are very familiar with the country and the local land owners.
